I bought a FR-S last summer.
Since then:
1. I haven't washed it. (no, not even a drive through, it still has the lines where they pulled the stickers off it)
2. I've yet to drive it 2000 miles.
3. I financed the entire purchase price. ($27k with tax and fees-yes it was dumb, I had my reasons)
4. Payment is $500 a month pretty much from now on. (6 years)
5. Prefer to drive my Tdi Golf daily.
Please advise.

Doctor's Notes:
Patient believes current FR-S to be reincarnation of much-lauded 2000GT; subconsciously refuses to drive vehicle for fear of damaging future investment potential.
Prescribed Treatment: Heavy application of right foot and tight corners.

I guess my question is - why did you buy a new car that you didn't want to drive? I don't care for the FR-S and I would not enjoy driving one every day. Ergo, I didn't buy one. My best friend did enjoy the FR-S and wanted to drive one every day. So he bought one. Seems simple.....

See if carmax will take it off your hands. You'll take a loss obviously, but normally they are very fair. And know how to deal with loans etc.

Drive it!
It's not a special collector's car, so it's not completely irreplaceable if something happens. It's got insurance for that same reason. It might not be perfect for wintery conditions, but so what? It's still going to be fun. Salt doesn't eat through steel that quickly, so give it a wash after the weather gets nice and clean it off. So Drive it!
I had the same dilema for my '04 Mach 1 when I had it, but then I realized that it's still just a Mustang, it still was a 3 owner car, it still had some holes in the headliner where some idiot thought a DVD player was a good idea, I drove it. In the winter. On salty roads. (It really didn't like snow though, so I didn't drive it when the weather was that bad). Know what? I loved it then.
But, if you're still not convinced that you should keep the little car, go ahead and sell it. There's not much reason in parking a brand new car in a garage without planning on driving it. One tip though: Might be worth waiting until the weather gets a bit nicer. I sold my Mustang in November, and the places I went to get quotes always gave me some BS about a sports car being hard to sell in the winter.

Do all the rallycross and autocross you can find

Yeah I'm kinda burned out on autocross after doing it for fucking ages. Rallycross doesn't exist around here. The problem is the car is such a disappointment I can't bear to drive it.

What is this code you speak?

I love mine and I drive it hard everywhere. I like flooring it everywhere at autocross and drifting all the corners. It's so much fun to get the tail out because it's so controllable

You could use an aftermarket supercharger

Make time for it. Throw it into some corners, have some good old-fashioned fun. If you're not feeling it (you know what I mean), maybe consider another vehicle.
